What can I do about this uneven white line on the top of one my prescription lenses?
So on one of my lenses I have a uneven white strip look like poor workmanship or how the lenses were cut out and placed in the semi-rimeless glasses. The other lense has a straight line. What is this white line?
No way to tell without actually seeing them but it sounds like either the lens has a flaw associated with the grinding of the prescription into the back surface or the lens may have warped when placed in the frame. Probably the only way to deal with this issue would be to recut the lens. Whoever crafted your glasses for you should do this at no charge if it is a flaw in fabrication or workmanship. Hope things go well.
On second thought you may also be talking about the edge of the lens having an irregular inverted bevel. (That is a groove that is cut into the edge of the lens to hold it in place.) Again though, you just need to take it back and have it replaced.
