Why do they need 20 pairs of scissors to deliver a baby?
I've seen it on TV, and also when I gave birth myself. They bring out this long table full of who knows what, but among other things, like 20 pairs of scissors. Seriously, what is all this stuff for? Catch the baby, pull its nose gunk out, and give it to mama. I know the cord is cut eventually, and the placenta comes, but why all this equipment?
Sterilization issues. They cant use a pair of scissors, set them down and then pick them up and use them again, they have to use new ones each time.
