or with dog by your side?

to guard your tender hide?

Are you rough and tough
or a sweet little bird?
A turkey or a chicken
with a sense of the absurd?

I'll jump out of the shadows
when you come near.
I'll move my cloak aside
to cause you great fear.

When you hear the awful sound
ripping through the air
you'll scream your poor lungs out
heart in mouth and full of fear.

But truth be known
I am harmless as grass
chewed by a cow
and passed out as gas
