How do I get my faux fur throw blanket back silky again?
I bought a faux fur throw and I put it in the washing machine and dryer, but the care instructions say "dry clean only". The look and feel is not silky and soft anymore and I would like to know how to get it back silky again.
You can try washing it in a washing machine with a "Steam Fresh" Cycle. It can help fluff up the fur in your throw blanket. If you don't have this washer feature, try washing your throw blanket again and then add fabric conditioner. This will help keep it soft and smooth. Use only the gentle washing cycle. Next is to put it in the dryer using the tumble drying cycle. Use low heat settings too. When it is almost dry, fluff the fur up and then finish off drying by hanging it in a nice airy place.
